The Island Lake – 50 Acre Lake

As one of the better kept secrets in the RK Leisure portfolio, the Island Lake at Horton is over 65 acres and has developed into one of the best boating lakes in the country with a good head of large carp and pike.

Now with over 400 fish averaging around the 30lb mark and at least ten 40lb+ pound carp, the largest of which is over 51lbs, this water is growing from strength to strength. Included in this stock are some of the ‘originals’ with a chance of further surprises.

Large weed beds dominate this water in the summer months although clear patches can be found. As a result of the rich water conditions, the natural feed is abundant, including thousands of snails and tadpoles, so experiment with your bait until you get a bite!

A compound has been erected for anglers to store their boats on site between visits. This reduces the hassle for members of transportation between sessions.

For information on the compound, please contact the office on 0207 5340540 or by using the contact form page to send an email.
