Wraysbury 1 South Lake to open in Spring/Summer 2016!
Following the separation of the North and South sides of Wraysbury 1 in 2015 we are delighted to announce the opening of the South lake for the 2016/17 season. Wraysbury’s North lake successfully opened to the public in 2015 as a day ticket water and has seen visitors arriving from around the globe to spend time on the banks and try to catch one of the originals.
Wraysbury 1 South lake will open in Spring 2016 as another day ticket venue. The 70 acre lake is home to a large head of both common and mirror carp following on from the stocking of the venue in 2013/14. Those fish currently range from double figures up to 30lbs at present. Alongside these is a head of original fish the numbers of which are unknown at present, but there have been eight fish this season ranging in weight from 33.4lbs up to 42lbs. We wouldn’t be surprised if there was a 50lb+ lurking in the depths.
For our predator fishermen and women, RK Leisure will be offering a boat service where the group will be accompanied by a pike fishing expert for the excursion. This will be followed by a lakeside barbecue after a long day on the water. More information on this and how to book will be announced in February newsletter.
The Wraysbury South lake 24 hour day ticket will cost £30 per person for up to 3 rods. There is no limit on the length of stay. We also accept exclusive venue bookings for large parties.
